Protective Immunity from T cells to Covid-19 in Health workers (PITCH)

Project summary:

PITCH is a prospective, longitudinal observational cohort study of healthcare workers at five centres in England. The study is nested within the SIREN study (Liverpool, Newcastle, and Sheffield), and parallel initiatives in Oxford (OPTIC) and Birmingham (CoCo). PITCH evaluates the immune response to SARS-CoV-2 infection and vaccination over time, with a focus on the T cell response. To date we have published the response to infection, impact of variants of concern, the impact of previous infection on response to a single dose of Pfizer BNT162b2 vaccine, and the immunogenicity of the UK’s extended dosing interval for BNT162b2 delivery, compared to the licenced 3-4 week dosing interval.
